Sport achievements
Development of physical and moral qualities of the staff, maintenance and improvement of health, pleasant and useful use of the leisure time, promotion of sports value and performance sports are essential priorities in the activity of the Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption.
For these reasons one of the basic tasks of the Center, from the very moment of foundation is the physical development, improvement of combat training, development of applied sports.
On the 17 th December 2002 the Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption has become a fully-fledged member of the Central Sports Club „Dinamo”.
This affiliation has opened a new page in the sports life of the Center, marked by the participation of sportsmen at the annual sports and athletics meetings organized by the C.S.C. „Dinamo”.
During the years 2003 – 2006 the Center’s volleyball team had won the first and the second places,as the most active players being noted Vadim Gherman, Dumitru Costei, Andrei Taran – sportsmen of national and international levels - Vladimir Erhan, Chiril Curmei, Iurie Catana.
It is also worth to mention the victories of the Center’s sportsmen at the service pentathlon contests where sportsmen competed in 5 disciplines of sports and techniques. Owing to perseverance and resistance, Oleg David, Pavel Culidobri and Aureliu Caprianu in the year 2005 have placed the Center on the second place.
The Center’s team made up of Veaceslav Cernov, Oleg Mostovoi, Aureliu Caprianu, Victor Anghel and Ghenadie Potlog in the year 2003 has won for the Center the first place in sambo, while in the years 2004 – 2006 the team members have occupied the second places in individual competitions in different weight categories.
The talented sportsmen like Veaceslav Cernov, Stefan Tulbure, Oleg Mostovoi, Aureliu Caprianu, Alexandru Leca have opened a new page in the history of weight lifting competitions in the said sports and athletics meeting. Owing to their efforts in the
year 2004 the team occupied the third place.
Good results were obtained by Oleg Mostovoi, Aureliu Caprianu and Alexandru Chilimciuc in the years 2003 – 2004 at the individual contact struggle and occupied the following places: I – in the 70 kg category, II – in the 75 kg category and III – in the 65 kg category,
The years 2004 and 2006 were especially fruitful in the history of football. The Center’s team has occupied the third place in the competition, being mentioned Oleg Drosu, Marin Sofroni, Stefan Raiu, Chiril Curmei, Sergiu Busuioc, Igor Martiniuc, Vladimir Stasiuc, Sergiu Guliceac, etc.
Also, for many years, it has been preserved the nice tradition: the Center actively participates at the Annual Sports Competition of the Free Syndicates of Moldova „Solidaritatea”, occupying advanced positions (V –VI out of 17 - 18 teams) in the general
contest.
Here the volleyball team of the Center has got no competitors: it is the most powerful, the most organized and technically prepared, its playing being well-organized and methodologically sound.
This fact was proved once more at the Annual Sports Competition of Workers held in the Russian Federation and CIS in 2004, when the team got the 7th Place out of 20 teams.
An international celebrity is the officer of the Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption Alexanru Chilimciuc that has participated in a series of international contests. He occupied the VIIth place (out of 17 competitors) in the XIVth Edition of the Fighting Competition on the theme „Special forces against terrorism” organized on 6 – 10 December 2006 in Moscow, Russian Federation and the third place in the Open Fight Championship held on 12 – 16 March 2007 in Anapa, Russian Federation.
