Legal Department

The Center’s legal Department was founded in 2002.

The Department’s responsibilities include:
- approval of drafts of administrative acts of individual character applicable to the Center;
- representation of the Center in the judiciary instances and other organs;
- presentation of proposals for removal of infringements committed in the course of various activities;
- performance of legal expertise and approval of draft laws, normative acts and international treaties;
- organization and direct participation in the elaboration of draft laws and normative acts, as provided in the work plans;
- exercising of other functions in the field of legal support for the Center’s activities in collaboration with its other structural subdivisions.

During the five years of activity the officers of Legal Department have participated in numerous court sittings under over 400 trials related to the protection of state interests and citizens’ rights and contributed to the collection of numerous fines and other sanctions applied to the delinquent persons. The qualified consultations provided by the Department assure the compliance of actions performed by the Center’s officers with the provisions of national law and international standards.

The legal Department participates at the elaboration of normative acts referred to the status of officers, implementation of the Center’s tasks in the field of prevention and combating of corruption, economic-financial and fiscal infringements, legalization of illegally obtained property, etc.
