Commandant Department

An important role in the coordination of activities of Center’s subdivisions in exceptional situations is played by the Commandant Department .

In line with the consolidation of Center’s potential have evolved the major objectives of the Commandant Department, that besides complex analysis of operative situation in the country, monitoring and coordination of service activities of the guard groups of the Center’s territorial subdivisions, registration, accounting of reports on violations, is responsible for the security of the offices, integrity of service documents, weapons, special facilities, provision of support to the Center’s subdivisions when arrests of the suspects are concerned.

Given the re-orientation of activities in the light of the new requirements imposed by the country’s government towards the Center, in December 2006, the Department’s responsibilities got supplemented by the functions of receiving, registering and reporting to the management the messages incoming via the trust hotline; management and maintenance in good technical state of the video surveillance, alarm and fire prevention equipment in all the rooms of the Center, assurance of integrity of patrimony; control upon the provision of medical assistance to the detained persons, upon the sanitary-epidemiological conditions in the Temporary Detention Isolator; assurance of the observation of rights of the persons detained in the T.D.I. in compliance with the legislation in force and international treaties to which the Republic of Moldova is a party.

The personnel of this Department includes experienced staff, graduates of the State University of Moldova, Academy of Economic Studies, Academy “Stefan cel Mare”, etc., with excellent service records in the law enforcement bodies of the country.
